Georgetown’s Art on the Square Offers Fine Art

Georgetown, TX, has been getting a lot of good press lately. Why? This up and coming community has attracted a lot of talent over the past few decades. The appreciation of the arts has brought many events to this area–and a lot of creative energy.

This weekend artists from all over the nation are surrounding the historic Williamson County Courthouse, displaying their paintings, photographs, jewelry, and sculpture under their white canopies. This is a true gathering of talent. Visiting every artist can take an hour or two–but you will find some that just take your breath away.

Last year we purchased photographs that had been transferred to canvas–one we took to Austin and presented to a dear friend…to remind him of the Ireland he will soon visit. The other is a classic example of architecture from Spello, Italy. People comment on it frequently.

Urban Homes and Land displays original art throughout our offices. Art rejuvenates our souls and enables us to live vicariously in locales we dream of visiting. We enjoy the annual art show around the courthouse–it allows us to share the artists’ interpretations of our world.

Georgetown is displaying original art and photos on banners throughtout our downtown overlay district. It’s worth a trip to the downtown area to see the striking examples of local artists’s work, too. This is Fine Arts Month in Georgetown–don’t miss the experience!
